No such thing as a stupid question

Have you ever been dying to know the answer to something but felt too embarrassed to ask?

We often do this in group learning environments because we don’t want to look dumb.  But when it comes to gossiping with our friends, there seems to be no limit to the questions that can be thrown on the table.

Now that we’ve all become such good friends, I’d like to gossip a little bit with you.  And I don’t even mind being the subject!  Because when it comes to eliminating debt, saving money, getting rid of the clutter, and restructuring our lives to travel around the world I am an open book.  (My weight may be the only secret I have left.)

I’m putting together a page of Frequently Asked Questions about our experience.  Several good questions have already been asked (“What does your mom think?” is perhaps my favorite), but I’m sure there are others.

What do you want to know?  What part of our experience can help YOU?  Let me know in the comments or send me an email at btalbot (at) marriedwithluggage (dot) com.

  • Hi Betsy,
Great post. I’m wondering what scares you about this undertaking? I imagine lots of things come up that can be calmly dealt with one by one…but maybe there’s something that lingers?

  • Betsy says:

That’s a great question, Paula. And very perceptive. I’ll answer this in next week’s post and include it in the FAQ.

  • Angela says:

What will you do if you get into a big fight in a place where you don’t speak the language?

Are you planning on maintaining the blog during your travel year, or are you giving yourself flexibility on that?

What about the travel plan itself- is there flexibility as to the route and how long you spend in different places?
