Advice from a Pro: 3 Steps to Accomplish Big Goals

We all know people who just seem to accomplish more than the rest of us. They do big things with their lives and seem to always be 3 steps ahead of everyone else.

Amber Singleton RiviereI know someone like that, and her name is Amber Singleton Riviere. Amber happens to be my accountability partner, which means I get the inside scoop of what she’s working on during our biweekly calls – the good, the bad, and the ugly. She never fails to impress me with her work ethic, her ability to focus in on what’s important and how she lets the little things go.

Amber is launching her own internet radio network in a couple of weeks, and in addition to that she runs a successful web development company, a small business coaching site and magazine/podcast, and hosts her own popular radio show. Oh yeah, and she gets paid to write for some really big-name blogs on the very sort of topics we’re talking about today.

Amber shares 3 strategies for getting big stuff done (and knowing what to let go):

  1. Learn to calculate the “highest and best use” of your time
  2. Find out why you should always stay within 3 steps of the revenue line (and the revenue line isn’t always about money)
  3. Discover the meaning of “imua” and why being obsessed with forward movement is essential

Wow – this was an amazingly helpful interview. Helped me think differently about how I go about building my own business, and about maintaining my blog, especially when I get “blocked!” I love that idea of “imua.”

    thank you Betsy and Amber!
