Whew, what a week! We’ve arrived in Thailand, launched an ebook, and found our “permanent” home for the winter. We’ve been so excited by your response to Dream, Save, Do (and the growing Kiva loan your purchases are making possible), that we’ve hardly explored our new home until today.
Check the video below to find out how we like it here, what we’ve got planned for the winter, and where you can find peacocks in Chiang Mai. (oh, and yes, I realize my hair looks really crazy in this video. But at this point it is like sharing photos and videos with family, so I’m not *too* freaked out about it.)
Last, we wanted to tell you that Warren has put together a page on the Dream, Save, Do site for you to list your dream publicly and check out the dreams of other people. We’ve gotten so many great emails and comments since we launched the book this week that we wanted people to have a place to shout out their dreams publicly. We love it that you guys are so vocal about wanting to live the good life! (We’re officially launching the page on Monday, but of course you guys get a sneak peek.)
Thanks again for being in our tribe. I can’t tell you how much energy we’ve felt radiating from all of you this week as you rush out to make your life better and by default make the world a little bit better. You guys are incredible.
(Click here if you don’t see the video below.)
PS - Today is a very special day. My brother Bo turns 40. He hates it that he is approaching “middle age” but I love it that he is still here to grow old with us after surviving his heart attack a few years ago. Wherever you are in the world, I hope you’ll raise a toast to my little bro tonight as you celebrate your own big dreams. He’s gonna need the good energy to face that “0″ today.

I found your blog while searching for Lifestyle Blog. I have to say I will be returning as I love your philosophy on life. Really enjoyed the ride so far!
Hi, Trina. We’re so glad you found our little tribe of people trying to Live the Good Life. We’re happy to have you here and look forward to you joining the great conversations we have. Welcome!
You’re going to LOVE this blog; how cool that you found it with a “lifestyle blog” search. That’s what Warren and Betsy should call themselves: “Lifestyle Coaches.” I like it!
Enjoy Thailand! I’m sure you’ll have some amazing experiences there.
Hey, nrhatch, we are loving it here! After 10 days of work-work-work, we are finally spreading our wings to have some fun. Lots of great things in store, and we’ll have videos and pics to share. We’re still getting used to the heat, but a cold Singha in the afternoon usually helps.
Dang, it’s so green there! And I love how you said it’s pretty cool today, only 80 degrees. Ha, that sounds soooo glorious right now (as I’m sitting in Berlin freezing my toes off).
We’re actually heading to Chiang Mai at the end of November and plan to stay for a few months as well! I’m sure there all kinds of meet-up opportunities in the expat/travel community there, but we would love to get together.
Cheers!
Christy, it is really beautiful here, and now that the rainy season is ending it is even better. Let me know as your arrival date gets closer and we’ll plan to get together. Looking forward to meeting you in person!
So happy to hear from you in Thailand! Just bought your book, just posted my dream on your site, am writing a novel in November. Life is good! Thanks for the inspiration.
Kristin, you are a woman with big plans! Good luck on your novel writing in November. A few of our other readers are joining me to write (virtually, of course), and if you’d like the added community just email me and I’ll include you in the Facebook group. You and I are going for a very similar dream, so I hope we can support each other.
Tell your brother that it’s not so much turning 40 as it is beginning decade #5.
Post a dream, you say. Hmmm. I suppose I need to work out if I have one….
I’m not sure that will comfort him much, Rob! I talked to him yesterday and he is doing much better than he was before. Your good wishes must have helped!
And the really GREAT thing about the dream list is that you can peruse other people’s dreams. You never know when it might spark an idea for yourself (though I think you already tend to give yourself more “everyday” challenges than the average Joe…).
Yeah.. that whole “decade” thing isn’t really much comfort
I will, of course, check out your dream list. Perhaps, as you say, someone else has been able to articulate a dream I didn’t know I had
The next two days (before it becomes wintry here) are being devoted to “fall cleaning” and the final cutting of the grass. And stacking firewood. Weather in Boulder - never a dull moment.
Oh yeah . . . remember the BIG Four-oh. Actually, I think that 38 was actually a bigger deal to me; I was more freaked out anticipating 40 than actually experiencing it! lol!!
You two are looking great, Bernstein Bear hair bangs aside,
and I bet you’re going to be highly productive there in Chiang Mai …. which is funny because I know of several Internet marketers who moved there for the “cheap living” and finally had to leave because they were spending so much money hanging out with the expat Internet marketers and not getting anything done. Somehow I don’t think that will be a problem with your two.
Looking forward to seeing what’s next. I left my goal on your Dreams Avedo and got your book. And by the way I just finished Ingrid Rick’s Hippy Boy-thanks for the recommendation. That sucker was impossible to put down. I was totally unproductive for a day as I blew through that thang. That book puts my childhood into prospective. lol!!!
Be Present. Expect Success. Live with . . . uh . . . Peacocks!
T
So jealous of you in your t-shirts as we begin pulling the sweaters out of the closet here in the PNW
Congrats again on the launch of DSD. Now… go relax a bit and eat lots of that delicious food for us.
WAHOO!!! So good to see you guys have arrived there! Looks like things are off to an amazing start. Let’s see some photos/videos of your new digs soon!
I have always wanted to go to Thailand. Thank for the video, it is so fun to see it and hear you both talk about it. Congrats on the book!
