Monthly expense summaries are moving

August has come and gone and we have published the monthly totals of our expenses to date. As you most likely know, we have been tracking every penny we spend since leaving for our trip around the world. At the end of each month we publish the details of our expenses for the month and the trip to date. The information we share has become quite popular so we launched a new site a couple months ago, RTW Expenses, to provide more details and information.

As a result, we have decided to move ongoing monthly summaries over to this site as well. August will be the first month for the switch and for the next few months we will provide reminders here that a new summary is available. If you are interested in subscribing to these updates, click here and you can add them to your favorite news reader or have them delivered directly to your email.

Is there any truth to the alleged “wide rumor” that the stats concerning the alcohol consumption may be a bit skewed as some purchases may or may not be showing up in your “grocery/food” category. (is this what they mean by liquid lunch?) lol!!!!!

    • Tranque, you know us so well. It is true that there are times we do not pull out the alcohol from our groceries or meals. We’re not sure we want to see the “real” number. In truth, it is more to keep it simple in our calculations at the end of each day. The one thing we can promise is that the wine/beer line item is higher in Europe thanks to the great quality and higher prices.
