The new format of longer posts on deeper topics at a slower rate seems to be resonating with you. Traffic is up - way up! Thank you so much for the feedback - we’ll keep fine-tuning the blog to be the kind of motivation and information you need to create the life you want.

- Meet, Plan, Go: We are hosting the Seattle site for this national event in 13 cities on September 14. If you’ve ever wanted to take time off to travel, this is the place to learn how to do it. There are great prizes, too (a trip to Machu Picchu!). All events are free, so be sure to sign up at one near you.
- Free Pursuits, How to take 3 years off to travel the world: This was a fun 50-minute audio interview with both of us. Free Pursuits is a blog about working for yourself and living the life you want, and we loved talking about lifestyle design with Corbett.
- Miss Minimalist, Real-Life Minimalists: Warren and Betsy Talbot: We love Miss Minimalist! You can learn a lot about living lean but full from this great blog, and we were happy to be part of her Monday “real life minimalist” series.
- I Design Your Logo: Did I tell you we were redesigning our website? We’re working on a simpler design with more space for photos in preparation for our trip. We found a great company that designs one logo per day as part of a plan to make $2 more every day for a year. It’s a pretty neat story, and Tony and Dana are fun guys to know, so be sure to check out their “about” page after you read our story. And of course stay tuned for the website upgrade in the next few weeks.
Coming up: We are going to be interviewed on BlogcastFM this month and we’ll be posting a guest article on Briefcase to Backpack on July 19 about how relationships change with long-term travel. And don’t miss us the second Friday in August and September as we chat with Debb Whitlock on the Femme Finance radio show on KKNW 1150 AM at 9 a.m. Pacific in the Seattle area (listen live here). Hey Betsy and Warren, thanks again so much for doing the interview with me at Free Pursuits. It was a lot of fun, and really informative. You guys have accomplished so much over the past couple of years. Congrats on being so close to “launch day” now!
I love the logo design, wish I would have heard about them back in March and caught that $2 design range.
You can mark your calendar to get them on March 1, 2011. The deal starts over at the start of their new year, though I’m not sure when they open the calendar to start booking it. Those guys were so much fun to work with, and they’d love to make a logo for a monkey.
Congratulations on hosting the September event. Sounds like a great idea. 14 years ago, my husband and I “checked out”. He was 39 and I was 36. Here’s a link to a recent article I did about it.
